Valencia Las Fallas: First Mascletà 2011

Below, you'll find a video of the FIRST Mascletà of Valencia's Las Fallas 2011 on March 1st in their Plaza del Ayuntamient. I witnessed several Mascletàs during my weeklong visit to Valencia a few years ago. It was a (LOUD!) experience to remember.

Below: This is a very curious video. It appears to take place just before sunset with safety personnel walking the streets of Valencia after a fireworks parade. You see a number of persons walking behind slow-moving ambulances with an apparatus in their hands to explode the unexploded charges lying on the ground. I hope they get them all! After this, you see the Mascleta.

Be sure to turn down the sound before starting video which was shot from a building immediately next to the Valencia City Hall / Ayuntamiento on the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Valencia.
